Recently back from competing in Brazil, Ryan Helm (Jupitor Beach, FL) “Out-Flew” Vero Beach’s Travis Beckman to collect $300 in the ESM Air Show. Ryan Helm also played the spoiler by snatching victory from young gun Zander Morton with Helm’s heat winning 6.6 that the St. Augustine surfer was not able to back-up; officially giving Kyle Garson the title as this years “KING OF THE PEAK”.  Ryan Helm Flys High over a Sebastian section to win the ESM Air Show A hometown favorite from Jupiter Beach, Florida; Ryan Helm has been in the hunt for WQS points since announcing his World Tour Qualifying bid earlier in the year at this same venue when he placed 5th over-all in the inaugural Globe Sebastian Inlet Pro, a 3 star World Qualifying event. During the ESM Air Show Final, Helm was forced to borrow his wife’s logo-less board when he encountered an equipment malfunction with his regular competition board that he had brought to the event. Ryan’s management is currently in discussions with leading Apparel companies with a goal to secure solid backing for the 2006 WQS Tour.
