Ryan Helm & BP Team up for Ron Jon Easter Surf Festival

Elite Professional Surfer and extreme fitness proponent, Ryan Helm will be making a special appearance during the 45th Annual Ron Jon Easter Surf Festival, held Easter weekend in Cocoa Beach, Florida (April 10-12, 2009). Ryan will participate as both a professional competitor in the Pro-Am short board competition and as a Celebrity ‘Guest Instructor’ during the Ron Jon Surfing School Beach Clinics, to be held concurrently with the event.

In between Ryan’s comp schedule and Guest Instructor responsibilities, he will be hanging out at his sponsor, BP’s booth and nearby gas station, signing autographs for fans. Tentative Autograph Signing Schedule: (at BP’s booth) Friday-11am; Saturday-3pm and Sunday-11am, and (at BP station located at Atlantic and Shepard Drive) Saturday-11am. BP will be giving away $5 gift cards and other prizes, and offering consumers the chance to enter their name to win a $200 BP gift card! Times are subject to change with updates made daily on-site.

Both a big wave, tube riding and small wave aerial specialist, Helm is a former ESPN X Games competitor. He has numerous competitive accolades and air show results; including being a multi-year winner of Eastern Surf Magazine’s ‘ESM Air Show’; held annually during the Quiksilver King of the Peak Contest, at Sebastian Inlet, Florida.
